We are part of the young people who love the combination between roots and modernity. On this matter Mandarin & General cheers us up. This label from New-York was found by Peggy Tan, a Taiwanese designer who gets her inspiration from mandarin-dress shapes, details and prints, that she translates into a New-yorker lexical.
The collection of Mandarin & General is charismatic but functional, with a nice mix between traditional references and essential wardrobe. Minimalism cuts is reminiscent of some pretty silhouettes of Phoebe Philo but with a small dose of exotic narrative. Very interesting.
